Crew v. Fire: the push for #15

October 2, 2004

The Crew lead the Metrostars by 4 points. A win tonight will go a long way to sealing up home field advantage. This is important as the Crew will lose Sanneh, Hedjuk, and Erick Scott to national team duty in the coming weeks. It would love to see Cunningham, Buddle, and Martino in the game to start out, but Andrulis will probably stick to the Martino, Buddle pairing. It will also be interesting to see who gets on the field for some work and possible starts while national team obligations are being filled (Szetela, Testo?). Watch it on Fox Sports Ohio, 7:30 Tonight.

Update: An ugly game nets a 3-3 tie. The Crew gave up 2 equalizers while a man up. On the plus side, Szetela got the start for an injured Paule and looked good. Testo came in for Wingert. He did not do too badly.
