I have had the opportunity to go to two different shows in the past week. Erica and I went to the Kings of Convenience show on Sunday night. It was a good concert by both Eirik Glambek Boe and Erlend Oye. Eirik was the talkative quiet one; Erlend of course has the big glasses. It was an acoustic show that featured one of the band members crowd surfing and ended in a dance number.
Yesterday, we then traveled down to Cincinnati to watch The Finn Brothers perform. Tim and Neil Finn have been crafting some great songs for 25 plus years in bands such as Split Enz, Crowded House, Finn Brothers, and of course both of their solo careers. The concert was just plain fun. The brothers played through songs that covered all of their previous work going back to when Neil joined Split Enz back in the late seventies. The broke up the set with some banter between the brothers making it feel moor intimate. I loved every minute.
