The Agony of the Crew

October 1, 2007

For years, this team has been beating its fans out of its stadium with the metronomic power of mediocrity.

Michael Arace sums up how it feels to watch the Crew. I have been going to games since 2001. I have seen the few high points of being a Crew fan, the 2002 U.S. Open Cup Championship win and the 2004 regular season unbeaten run. I have seen many of the lows, too many seasons to recount.

I had a full season ticket package this year; I am not sure what I am going to do next year. I will still go to some games, but I am soon to be one of the fans to be beaten out of the stadium.
